Here are two of the fairy costumes that I have been working on for the Fall. Sara's Addison also has a little fairy costume to wear. She isn't in the picture. The little girl standing beside Mary-Beth is my friend Rachell's little girl. She is so funny when you bring out the camera; she starts to make the cutest faces (saying Cheeeeeeeese).

The Preschool Room Makeover

My friend Sara and I set out just to do a little room redo and it turned into a long (but fun) three day (and still counting) adventure. We had fun but one thing after another happened while painting. We started off great with the white paint on the bottom. We then went to open the green and the lighting at church must be very different from the Walmart lighting. It was yellow instead of green. Will took the paint back to Walmart and asked them to make to color more green. We rolled the green on the walls but after doing the white and bookshelves and then the green we were extremely tired. So we went back on Thursday afternoon and trimmed the green ---when it dried it was much darker than the green we rolled on the night before. The paint must have not been mixed enough. Well at this point we had ran out of paint and Sara had to go back to Walmart and get another can of paint. We just crossed our fingers and prayed it matched. It was close enough. We went back on Friday morning and put another coat of green on the walls. We also finished up on the accessories. Then while trying to clean up and leave, Sara had the bucket of left over green paint and dropped it outside the church and it went all over the concrete. She just laughed----We left the paint there to dry and pray that it will peel off when it dries (this is a little tip that Eric Wooley told us when I spilled some paint while building our house). However we did what we could and hope the children like their new room, it was definitely done out of love.

I know I haven't updated the blog this week. Sorry......... I have been working on Mary-Beth's costume for the fall festival or trick-or-treating. I made her a fairy costume. Here is a picture of the costume without the wings and, of course, Mary-Beth.

Lazy Labor Day Weekend

Will an Lane laid around watching football games and just being guys for the holiday. Lucky them. Mary-Beth and I, on the other hand, was hit by the terrible stomach bug. It was no way to spend a holiday. Mary-Beth did learn how to tie a bow after she recovered. She is very excited to be growing up......but I am finding it a little difficult to see happen.


While laying in the bed and recovering from the illness, Will took care of the house. I walked into the kids bathroom and the pictures below is what I found. Lane loves to take his under ware off and kick them to see where they may land. As you can see they land everywhere.

Well, for those of you read my blog may notice that I never put any pictures of myself on it. So, my lovely husband took a wonderful picture of me that I know truly shows my true beauty and I thought all of you would love to see it. You can all thank Will for such great photography.

My Little Ballerina

Mary-Beth went back to dance today. She was so excited to see Mrs. Teressa and to learn more dances. She was so proud of herself for learning how to turn a cartwheel today. She one of the big girls in her class and she is so glad to be so. I feel like she will really do well this year.


Mason came to play today while Alisa is was at work. This is truly a love hate relationship. This morning the kids were playing outside. They had gotten so dirty- even before 9:30. While playing in the sand box The two boys got into a fight (Lane got bit and Mason got pushed). Hence the reason for the pictures of the crying boys. They are so funny to just sit back and watch. You never know what is going to happen next.

Just-A-Swinging

My sweet husband bought me a great birthday present. He bought a swing that Sara's grandfather made. I have always loved to sit outside on a swing to watch the kids (or for those who know me, to talk on the phone at night after the kids go to bed). I could do this in the past, at the other two houses we have lived in. We have just not had the chance to get one for our new house. So my wonderful husband surprised me and started building the stand for the swing on Friday. I saw something outside moving Friday night, so I looked out the window and see and I find him working in the dark, digging the hole for the post. Needless to say I love my birthday gift. Thank you Sweetie!
