October Weekend

Will and I took the kids (Gretta, Mary-Beth, and Lane) to the Air Show in Louisiana on Saturday. We all really had a great time. They watched in amazement at all of the loud planes.

Mary-Beth and Gretta were thrilled to spend some time together.

After the Air Show we had a birthday party for Greyson at our house. It was nice just to visit with everyone.
Lane decided he needed a little cake before we cut it.
Greyson was excited to turn 6.

Lane Gets Stitches Again

He was staying home with daddy and ran smack into the kitchen table. We didn't know for sure if he needed stitches so we called our friend, Chip. He recommended going in to the ER. Yep, he ended up with stitches, three this time. I am kind of glad because it kept bleeding.

Here he is getting wrapped like a burrito

Such a big boy
Here he is getting his stitches
He told me on the way home that that silly doctor was cutting his hair:)I guess he thought that because of the things he was using looked like scissors.

Here he is getting carried around the ER talking to everyone about the whole thing.

The Shoes that Mary-Beth Couldn't Stop Staring At

I know it sounds silly to put a picture of shoes on the blog-----but these shoes Mary-Beth fell in love with. I took her, Saturday, to buy her a pair of winter shoes. Penny's had a sell where if you buy one pair you get the second pair for 88 cents. I bought Lane a pair with the 88 cents. Well as you can see the white pair of shoes are not winter. Those are not the pair I bought her. But, She stared at them the whole time we were there. When we were leaving she said, "Momma, I just can't quit staring at them." Well, we went on home and later she told Nana about them Sunday. Nana and Papa were so sweet to let her get them. She hasn't taken them off except to sleep. She wore them to see the doctor today and got some complements. We got them a size too big so maybe she will get some use out of them next year. She calls them her "heals."

My computer has been on the blitz lately so I haven't been able to post. I also have been a little busy. Tracy had to have surgery and the kids, Mary, and I tried to help her get through the whole ordeal. She had a rough recovery, but I think she is getting better now. Above are some pictures of the kids wondering what was going on when she was brought out from surgery. They didn't quite understand why she couldn't get up and play with them. You can see Mary-Beth with her fingers in her mouth (that is what she does when she gets nervous) I convinced them to lay down for a short while before the nurse came in and practically closed them up in the foldout chair they were laying on. It was a very interesting and a very long day. Tracy, we love ya and hope you feel better soon.

I went with a friend of mine (Amy) to the Clinton Park, for her to do a photo shoot. I watched the kids while they did there pictures. The kids had a great time. Here are some pics of the kids playing there at the playground.

The State Fair

The kids, Will and I went to the state fair Friday. They had the best time...well I can't lie, we all had a great time. It was a nice day and the kids loved the rides, of course.

This is a picture of Mary-Beth and Lane with their cousin Ian. Shaun, Heather and Ian came to visit this weekend. This is the only pic I got of all three of the kids. They always play so well together.

"Noah" is at it again

For those of you who do not know, Will has found a new hobby. (Like he needs another hobby) He built a boat, for duck hunting, about a year or two ago. Well he decided he needed a smaller boat to put in the back of his truck, when he did not feel like pulling a boat. Soooooo he started on it this past week. Here are the kids helping him paint the base coat on it.
Lane really took it serious and tried to get every little part painted for his daddy.

Lane got just about as much paint on him as he did the boat. It was not an easy task to get all of the paint off of him:)
