Summer Fun

The kids and I decided to go to the art park to get wet. They had a really good time. It was hard to get them to leave. Here are a couple of shots of the running in the water.

"Our Baby Bird"
We had a baby bird visit us this morning. The kids always love to watch all of the birds out our kitchen window. The are always eating at the bird feeder, all kinds of birds. Well, this morning we went outside and this time there was one little bird that didn't fly off when we opened the door. I believe it was a baby bird because it had down feathers. I knew that it would not survive here at my house with Lane and Miley, so I let the kids stare at him a while and put Miley in the pen. Then, I encouraged the little guy to go off to the tree line. He ended up getting the nerve up to fly a couple of steps. Lane will be the one to miss him the most. As you can see I couldn't even get him to go in and get some under ware on.

Happy Mothers Day
Here is some of the children from the Sunday school class I work in on Sunday mornings. They were planting some flowers for there mothers for Mother's Day. The picture above is Kate and the picture below is Olivia.

We tried to take a few pictures of all of the grand kids on my side of the family. I was just taking a few snapshots as my sister was taking the pics. As you can see it is extremely difficult to get seven children to look at the camera at the same time. We had a picnic at my house after church and it was a good break from the hectic couple of weeks we have had.

A trip to Tennessee

This is Paw paw, Will's grandfather. We stayed with him while visiting his other grandfather in the hospital. We were very thankful to be able to go to Tennessee and visit. However it is very hard to see someone you love being attacked by cancer. Please keep all of Will's family in your prayers.
While in Tennessee, Papaw helped me dig up some of Nanny's plants. When she was alive, she took a lot of pride in her yard. I always loved to watch her show me and everyone all of her plants. I was very excited to get the plants that paw paw gave and get them planted at our house. We made a new flowerbed in out front yard to put some of the plant in. We also planted some in other places around the yard.

This is one of my strawberry plants in my garden, that has started to bloom. I always love his time of the year.

The end of the soccer season has come!
We had a soccer party at Glenwood Circle Park. Lots of snacks and playing. Mary-Beth received her soccer trophy and Lane even received an honorary member trophy. He was very excited about this. After the trophy ceremony the kids got together for a photo of the team.
