Lane can't stay away from the doctor's. This morning he woke up and his cut that had caused him to get stitches was red and swollen. It also had a spot that looked infected. I took him to Dr. Sluis. He is now on antibiotics. When we came home he walked smack into the corner of the wall. It was directly on his cut. Luckily it didn't split back open but it did push the infection out. (I know that is nasty sounding). I cleaned it and bandaged it. I hope it is okay.

My Baby Is Growing Up

Well Mary-Beth has learned to write her name. She is so excited that she has learned to do this. She writes her name anytime she get the chance. She says that she is ready for school now. (little does she know, her mom is not ready for school yet :) Never the less she is growing up way to fast.

Well, Lane got his stitches out today. He was such a big boy. He was a little nervous at first, but sucked it up and let the nurse remove the stitches. I was so proud of him.

Addison and Rachelle came to visit today. The kids had so much fun playing outside in the even in the unbearable heat.
While playing inside the kids colored with crayons and markers. Well all of the sudden there was a little art work on the wall. Here is Lane and Addison discussing about how great the masterpiece is and who they should blame it on.
Well, I think we found out who is the little artist of the bunch. -------- Of course I won't name any names.

This is my grandmother -Doris Day-yea the famous one... well to us anyway. We had a huge 75th birthday party for her. It was big.

My mother made her cake for her party. I bet you could not guess that.

After the big party; my grandmother, my mom, both of my sisters, Miranda (my cousin), and Mamie (my aunt) all went to get pedicures because all of our feet were killing us.

Didn't our feet turn out beautiful. I did not get my grandmother's feet in the picture.

One Tough Cookie

Lane finally did it, he had to get stiches. He was at church and horse playing around. Poor Ms. Alice was by herself with three kids. She had to bring all three down the hall to find me. Lane cried but was fine after a minute of babying. Tina helped me watch the kids while I tried to decide where to take him. Well, of course it was the ER. We were so blessed because a friend of ours, Chip, is a nurse there and he rushed us on in. Thank goodness, because it was packed. Lane was such a tough guy, he never cried while they gave him numming shots and stiched him up. I may should be a little worried about his pain tolerance. They were all raving about how good he was there in the ER.

Little Rebecca came for a Visit

We were so glad to have Rebecca come visit us. Lane and Mary-Beth loved the company. They played with toys in their rooms, read books, played the piano, ate lunch, and ran around laughing and playing. They even watched Baily (our dog) get a hair cut. They had such a good time. Rebecca came in and never skipped a beat. You would have thought she came everyday. We had a great time--We hope you come back to play little Rebecca.

the jelly-fish sting

We just got back from a trip to Biloxi, Ms. We had a really great time. We were able to soak up a little sun and try out some great restaurants. It was great bonding time for our family. We really needed a vacation. We stayed at the Beau Rivage Hotel - it was really nice. (other than all of the gambling going on) Will had a conference there, so the kids and I hung out by the pool or did some shopping during the day. However, at night Will was able to join us. The picture of Lane's little feet is a picture of his attack by a jelly-fish. He was very upset by it but was very tough. You would have never even know he got stung after about an hour. We left the beach after the sting and went swimming - he forgot all about it. However, if you ask him about it he will tell you that he got bit by a shark.----- I never know what goes threw his little mind. Ha Ha!
