A great weekend!

I don't have any pics of the weekend, but man you can't complain with this weather (Holly, sorry to give you such a crazy stroll, Friday afternoon). We started this weekend off with Rachelle, Jeffery, and Addison spending the night Friday and going to the play "The King and I". Cameron was in it and he did such a great job. Such the little actor! I woke up Saturday and after the Scotts left I was headed to the park downtown I was talking to my neighbor "Misti". She told me I was really missing out by not going to the "Kelly's Kids Warehouse Sale" So I headed down to Natchez. I got some great coordinating outfits for the kids. It was so much fun. Thanks Mom and Dad for helping out with some of the outfits. I am set for the next few holidays. I got back in town and met the in-laws for supper. After church Sunday, Will and I worked in the yard some while the kids played with Addie. (Landry, we will catch you next time) I hope everyone has a great week and a Happy Valentine's Day!!

I Am Not Worthy
Today, I went to get Mary-Beth from school and I got called into the Principal's office. (SCARY)
She told me that I got "Parent of the Year" for the school. I am happy but that is a tall order. I, by no means, am a parent of the year. I feel like there is many parents who have worked hard to make the schools opening great. Along with the title, I get to write a 2 page paper on how I feel I can and have contributed to the school and the class. I also have to have 3 references written about me. I will say that Alisa did not nominate me because she did not want to look bias. I am flattered but I do not feel worthy. I think that I do what any other parent would do for there child in school. It is still a parents responsibility to make sure their child strives in school and stay involved in every step. For all of you other moms I know you all do the same.

Bikes are so much FUN!!!
I have been taking the kids riding on there bikes around the neighborhood the past two weeks. I want to teach them how to ride in a neighborhood. When MB gets home everyday they jump on the bikes and off we go. I want them to learn well enough so that I can start riding with them. The hills are bit of a challenge. These pics are from yesterday MB was not feeling well so I did not get any pics of her because I was pushing her in a stroller. I had to take some of Lane with my phone because he is such the dare-devil. He has already taught himself how to hold his feet up while going down the hill. He also slams on his brakes so he can slide in the gravel. I know, it sounds real safe. They both have helmets and elbow and knee guards. It amazes me that they both make it from one side of the neighborhood to the other and back.

100th Day of School
Can you believe that it has already been 100 days that Mary-Beth has been in school. I sure can't. Here are a few pictures of her dressed for the occasion. I appliqued a shirt for her and We put 100 ponytails in her hair. I have to say she did very good sitting still while I put them in her hair. The assignment was for the kids to come to school wearing 100 of something. Her hair will never be the same:)

I had to throw this picture of Will and the kids jumping on the trampoline. Will would be thrilled to know that I am putting a picture of him playing "ring-a-round the roses. But I could not resist!

We Are Finally Well!!!!!!!
Lane has been running fever for SEVEN days straight. I took him to the doctor on last Wednesday and he got on antibiotics for another ear infection. Well, he seemed to only get worse after that. Sunday night his fever got up to 104.6 under his arm. We had to alternate Tylenol and Motrin. I made two phone calls to Dr. Sluis and back to the doctor on Tuesday of this week. He had tonsillitis, sinusitis, and of coarse still and ear infection. After x-rays and swabs for all kinds of test we headed home and wouldn't you know it he wakes up feeling better Wednesday. He still complained about his head but for the most part he was almost back to normal. We stayed home from church to be safe. Today he woke up feeling GREAT!

Lane is always wanting to help. He had to go to the doctor yesterday and he has an ear infection and probably some other virus that is causing his temp to go up, because with an ear infection he rarely runs much fever!! Nonetheless he still wants to help me keep the fire going. He insists that there is always a need for another log. So he runs outside and carries in a log that is the size of him. But he loves it!! So this morning I had to snap a picture of his hard work!
