Memorial Day
We decided to take the kids camping Sunday. So we headed off to Rocky Springs. It was alot of fun. The kids played in the creek catching tadpoles and swinging. We roasted wienies and s'mores. It was very relaxing and we wish we had more time to stay but of coarse we had to get back to life:)

"Just A Swinging, Part 2"
I don't know if you all remember but when MB learned to swing I posted, so now it is Lane's turn. My sweet boy was so excited to let me know that he could swing alone. He has been able to do it enough to get by but yesterday he was soaring high. He doesn't do anything half way!!! I thought he was going to flip around the swingset.

Ethan and Stella came over yesterday for coffee, well Ethan did not have coffee:) I had to add a picture of Ethan. Isn't he a cutie pie.

"Trail of Tears"

Today the trail of tears honoring Memorial day came through Bovina around 11:30. It is about 2000 motorcyclist accompanied by helicopters and police cycles. Mason, Lane and I ran to the Bovina bridge to watch them pass under. Alisa called me and told me that the school was out waiting on them and I needed to hurry to get there. I was able to get a few pics of the children at the school from the bridge, however they are not too clear. Mrs. Harvey is the one in the burgundy shirt and Mary-Beth is the little girl with the light grey sweatshirt on in front of her. Mason and Lane loved it. It was very loud as they honked and the sirens of the police went by. I will post more pictures of this weekend as soon as I can get my hands on them. They kids went camping with will for the first time.

Friday while the Will and the kids were camping, I went to a art class (easely amused) with a bunch of girls.. It was alot of fun. Here is my masterpiece. It was neat because you did not have to had ever event painted to have it turn out. We will defiantly have to go again!

After the art class on Friday night Rachelle and I went to eat with a few girls and headed home to make a cake for her sister's shower on Saturday. We were up quite late (2:30ish) and up early finishing it. Here are a few pictures of the cake at the shower. Her sister's little boy is going to be Lane.

Why Haven't I thought of it Before Now?
Mary-Beth asked me if she could wash dishes for me, I would be crazy to say no!!!! So I pulled her up a chair and taught her how to wash good and rinse good. Don't worry, for those of you that know MB, know that she is a clean little thing. Now, Lane may need a little supervision. She washed the entire sink load. MAN!!!! She told me that she would do this everyday for me. I do want to make it dreaded so I will let her do it only every other day:) (JK) ....... I think?

Could Someone Please Get Me a Tissue
Mary-Beth's class had a Mother's Day Tea for all of us mothers today. It was the most precious thing I have to say. Mary-Beth was so excited to get to dress up for school. She really surprised me on how well she did. She sang a part in the microphone and had a speaking part. My little girl is growing up. She is not such the shy little thing anymore. I know, I can't believe it. I cried and cried through the whole thing. I tell you one thing Mrs. Harvey and Mrs. Jones worked there tails off on this thing. Thank you soooooo much!!!! We all sat down for a nice lunch following the program.
